Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people build confidence and take positive steps towards their future. You may have worked in community services, family support, employment services, childcare, education, customer service, health, or another people-focused field. Equally, you may bring valuable lived experience as a parent, caregiver, volunteer, mentor, or someone who has supported others through life's challenges.
We believe great mentors come from many different backgrounds. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, listen without judgement, build trust, and help parents and caregivers see what's possible.
What you'll do
- Deliver person-centred case management for parents and caregivers of young children
- Look at the whole picture, addressing both vocational and non-vocational needs
- Guide people towards their own goals, connecting them with the right internal and external services
- Build strong relationships with local services and organisations across Belmont, Cannington, and Perth South
- Create a warm, welcoming, child-friendly space where families feel comfortable
- Bring empathy, patience, and genuine care to every single interaction

As a Parent Pathways Mentor, you'll be a trusted guide, connector and advocate for parents and caregivers of young children. You'll support people to identify their goals, overcome barriers, strengthen their confidence, and access the support, training, education or employment opportunities that are right for them.
Success in this role isn't about ticking boxes. It's about helping a parent feel heard, supported and empowered to take the next step, whatever that step looks like for them.
What you'll bring
- Experience in case management, community services, or a related human services field
- A real passion for supporting parents, caregivers, and families
- Great people skills and the ability to build trust quickly
- A flexible, can-do approach to problem-solving
- Current WA Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid WA driver's licence
The support you'll receive
You don't need to have worked in the Parent Pathways program before. We'll provide comprehensive onboarding, training and ongoing support to help you build your knowledge and confidence in the role.
