Community Services & Development

Career Coach | Inclusive Employment Australia | Northam and the Midlands-Wheatbelt region
Ever finished a shift knowing you sorted something out for someone, and felt good about it? That instinct, the one that keeps you patient with a frustrated customer or genuinely pleased when you fix a problem for someone, is exactly what we're looking for.
You don't need a background in community services. If you've worked in retail, hospitality, a call centre, reception, sales, or anywhere you've looked after people, you already have the foundation. We'll give you the training, the support, and a career pathway that actually means something.

Job Description

What the job is
As a Career Coach with Inclusive Employment Australia, you'll work one-on-one with people who are living with disability, injury or a health condition and want to find work. You'll get to know them, understand what they're good at and what's getting in the way, and help them build a plan to get into a job that lasts.
Inclusive Employment Australia is about creating a more inclusive future, where people can get the support they need to prepare for, find and keep work, and grow a career. Participants are at the centre of everything, and so are you.

Day to day, that looks like:
Building trust with the people on your caseload and genuinely getting to know them
Helping them work out their goals and mapping how to get there
Coaching them through the practical stuff: confidence, skills, applications, interviews
Working alongside our Employer Specialists to connect people with employers who want to hire them
Staying with people once they're in a job, so it sticks
You'll be trained and supported the whole way. This is a genuine pathway into a community services career, not a job we'll leave you to figure out on your own.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you bring
You're good with people and easy to talk to
You listen properly and communicate clearly
You get a real kick out of helping someone get a win
You stay organised and follow through
You're up for learning something new
Experience in employment services, case management or community services is a bonus, but attitude and people skills matter more. We can teach you the sector. We can't teach the caring.

A few practical things
Because you'll be working closely with participants, you'll need:
Full Australian working rights
A National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one (we will pay)
A Working with Children Check, or the ability to get one (we will pay)
A MyGovID account, or willingness to set one up
