Job Description

Training Alliance Group is seeking an Career & Training Engagement Specialist to join our team based in Mirrabooka. This is a phone and video-based role supporting job seekers, students, and employers across our suite of programs, including Workforce Australia, Inclusive Employment Australia, Transition to Work, Training Services, Employability Skills Training, Parent Pathways, and Self-Employment Assistance.

About the role

As an Career & Training Engagement Specialist, you will support participants to progress toward their education and employment goals through a person-centred approach. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming participants into our programs and clearly explaining the support, service, and obligations involved
  • Assisting participants with resumes, job matching, and interview preparation
  • Following up with disengaged participants and re-connecting them with appropriate support
  • Providing post-placement support to individuals who have entered the workforce
  • Managing a varied caseload with autonomy, while working collaboratively within a broader team
  • Undertaking centralised administrative activities in support of program delivery

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Experience or genuine interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Confidence managing inbound and outbound calls
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound administration and time management skills
  • A track record of delivering tailored, high-quality customer service
  • Previous experience in employment services is highly regarded, though not essential

Candidates must be willing to undergo a National Police Check and hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check.
